Cynthia and Elaine were ecstatic on their wedding day, an opportunity they never dreamed would become a reality in Arizona for same-sex couples. They began the day with a private and emotional first glance under the shaded mesquite desert backdrop at Regale! at DC Ranch.
They incorporated various elements of their Buddhist beliefs throughout the wedding ceremony and reception. During their outdoor patio ceremony, Cynthia and Elaine exchanged malas--strings of prayer beads--with each other. They also presented malas as gifts to each member of their bridal party. Their wedding ceremony was blessed both by a Buddhist monk and a traditional officiant.
It was really special to see how Cynthia and Elaine's family and friends came together to celebrate and honor them on their wedding day, and we were thrilled to be a part of it as well!
Cynthia and Elaine wrapped up their wedding day celebration with a sparkler farewell with their wedding guests. “All In” is how Cynthia and Elaine describe their relationship—fully committed to each other without reservation.
