Hi, We are David & Amanda!

Over the past 22 years, our passion for photography has lead us to meet so many wonderful people who also share the love of capturing a special memory in time, and doing that in a creative, yet heartfelt way. We've been introduced to people from all walks of life, each with their own unique vision for their photography needs. This has helped us grow as artists and continue to evolve our craft! Thank you for visiting and hope to hear from you soon. In the meantime, read some fun facts about us!

People often ask us, “What sets you apart?”

We continue to evolve, elevate, and redefine our imagery style, and grow as artists. And we strive to capture fresh photo ideas with eager clients as fans and participants. Many people hire us because they too have a passion for creative photography, and know they will experience something special when they work with us.

We're always interested in our clients’ new ideas, different locations around the state, and doing something unusual and unique is so exciting! We can’t help but be eager to capture memories with heart and soul behind everything we do.

How do we describe our photo style?

We are moment seekers. Much of what we do is capturing detailed moments in time that ultimately shows a story. We are looking for moments with great emotion and surprises, and we are not afraid of showcasing those moments with different editing techniques that work best to honor the mood of that moment in time.

We do not pigeonhole ourselves to just one type of color treatment output or specific stylized photo shoot. Instead, we prefer to embrace the natural colors of life, honoring the place and time of when things happen, and always keeping the tone of the moment and the goals of the client in mind.

We listen to our clients and work with them to get the best imagery possible for their goals. The true secret sauce is having clients who truly want to participate in creating special moments, who are willing to embrace the art of natural posing and direction, and who understand the importance of building trust with us gentle souls. We know it can be hard for clients to open up their hearts and show raw emotions for the camera. As clients ourselves, we know; we have been there, too!

What are your personalities like?

Amanda here! I’m a hugger—I love connecting with people and really like to share my care spot with others. I’m known to be upbeat with a spark of humor and quick wit, but I also have my calming, joyous demeanor that keeps me in balance.

Hi, I’m Dave. I like to make others feel at ease. People always tell me that I am very easy to talk to, and they appreciate that I show genuine interest in them. I tend to be introspective, and I think the art of photography allows me to slow down and observe the natural world I live in by looking at the photos I take. I’m also a huge nature-lover and always eager to spend time outdoors. Amanda calls me bird man. I really love animals, and if I’m out and about, I will look for critters and wildlife to photograph, and I have my mom to thank for sharing the joy of bird watching.

Our Big Boss!

Dave, what is your first photographic memory?

I took a summer photography class at the Mesa Arts Center (the old building near the Convention Center) with Wendell Waters when I was probably around 10 years old. We made black and white prints in a cramped darkroom. I remember a portrait of my friend Dan with quarters over his eyes (can’t remember who took the photo, though!), and a portrait of me in my favorite ‘90s bull terrier surf dog t-shirt (the kind with the neon puffy paint) and my horrible glasses (which my mom said made me look like a bumble bee).

Amanda, what do you like to do when you're not shooting photographs?

I really cherish spending good quality time with friends and family, and especially being a mom. Which is BY FAR, my favorite thing. Our son Nelson is the light of our life. He has played an important role in helping us connect more with our family and friends, and has taught us what it truly means to live a happy life.

I really like traveling, cooking, illustrating, listening to music and podcasts! When it comes to traveling I like exploring different places in Arizona--I have lived here all my life and I really love all the wonderful things the state has to offer. It always seems I discover something new when we travel in and out of state.

Cooking is one of my most favorite hobbies. I get the same satisfaction of cooking something unique and seeing people's reactions to something new I've created and them being extremely happy--I correlate this need for doing something creative for someone else a lot when editing photos and working as a graphic designer.

I mention graphic design as I have over 22 years of professional graphic design experience in various fields, but my all-time favorite thing is creating pet illustration artwork and finding new ways to put a smile on others’ faces!
